He had evidently a peculiarly warm place in his heart for young people, and always indulged in some merry jest with them. If he had a blind man on board it was not enough to set him down safely on the pavement. He would call to Bill in front to wait while he took him across the road or round the corner, or otherwise safely on his way. In short, I found that he irradiated such an atmosphere of good-temper and kindliness that a journey with him was a lesson in natural courtesy and good manners.

What struck me particularly was the ease with which he got through his work. If bad manners are infectious, so also are good manners.

Pune, 6th September: XYZ Junior College celebrated 'Teachers’ Day' yesterday with great pomp and show to honor the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The entire college wore a festive look, and the atmosphere was filled with gratitude and respect.

The program commenced at 9:00 AM with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Principal and senior staff members. In a unique twist, the Student Council organized a role-reversal activity where selected students from Class 12 acted as teachers for the day. They conducted lectures for the junior classes, realizing the hard work and patience required in the teaching profession.

At 11:00 AM, a formal function was held in the auditorium. Students performed a variety of cultural programs, including a skit depicting the guru-shishya parampara, songs, and dances dedicated to the teachers. The Principal, in his address, highlighted the role of teachers as nation-builders.
