Secondary Functions of Bank:
Secondary functions are divided into two parts: Agency Functions and Utility Functions.
A. Agency Functions:- Periodic Collections and Payments: Banks collect salary, dividend, interest, etc., and make payments for electricity bills, insurance premiums, etc., on behalf of customers as per standing instructions.
- Portfolio Management: Banks buy and sell shares and debentures for their clients.
