The Rajasthan desert is the most densely populated desert in the world.


1. The Rajasthan Desert is a transition (evolution/change) zone between the densely populated basins of the rivers Ganga and Indus.
2. From the 7th century onwards there were migrations, invasions and exchanges of population from the west to east. As a result, the Rajasthan Desert is the most densely populated desert in the world, with a population density of 83 people per sq.km.
