29. Describe the struggles underwent by the young Seagull to overcome its fear of flying.
The young seagull was terrified to fly. His parents and siblings tried to encourage and even threaten him, but his fear was overwhelming. He believed his wings would never support him and the vast expanse of the sea beneath him was terrifying. For a day, he watched his family fly and enjoy themselves, feeling lonely and hungry. Maddened by hunger, when he saw his mother flying towards him with a piece of fish, he dived for it. For a moment, he was seized with terror, but then his wings automatically spread outwards. He flapped them and began to soar, finally overcoming his fear through a desperate act of survival.

33. Write a paragraph on the grumble family and their attitude towards other folks.
The Grumble family is characterized by their perpetually negative and complaining attitude. They live on "Complaining Street" in a city called "Never-Are-Satisfied." Nothing ever pleases them; they find fault with everything, whether it's too hot or cold, big or small. Their attitude is one of constant dissatisfaction and they grumble about everything. They are unpleasant to be around, and the poet warns that if we complain too much, we might be mistaken for a member of this miserable family. Their attitude shows an inability to appreciate anything positive in life.

34. Compare and contrast the attitude of the ant and the cricket.
The ant and the cricket represent two contrasting attitudes towards life and responsibility. The cricket is carefree and irresponsible; he spends the warm, happy months of summer and spring singing and enjoying himself, without a thought for the future. In contrast, the ant is hardworking, practical, and a planner. It spends the summer gathering and storing food for the harsh winter ahead. When winter comes, the cricket is starving and helpless, while the ant is secure. The ant's attitude is one of foresight and diligence, whereas the cricket's is one of shortsightedness and pleasure-seeking. The ant believes in working first and enjoying later, a principle the cricket learns the hard way.
