On the basis of the above definitions, the importance of directing can be stated as follows:

The direction is the function which supports to activate the plans with the help of employees. Every action is initiated in a timely direction. The managers direct the subordinates about what to do, how to do, when to do, and also to see that their instructions are properly followed.
