The General English School – The Cleanest School
A report for the school magazine, this is a testament to the united efforts of our students and staff.
On February 25, 2024, a truly memorable day for The General English School, we were honored with the prestigious 'Cleanest School Award' by the Mayor, Shri Abdul Kalam. Since last June, members of the Municipality have conducted regular spot-checks, and each time we have passed with distinction. The principle of cleanliness is no longer just a rule; it has become deeply ingrained in our school’s culture.
This achievement was built on a foundation of shared responsibility. Each class has a dedicated 'Cleanliness Prefect,' and every school corridor is supervised by a 'Cleanliness Monitor.' Furthermore, a series of posters, debates, meetings, and student-led camps helped foster a strong awareness of hygiene and order. It was a united effort, for which we owe immense gratitude to our wonderful Principal and teachers who supported us at every turn. This award belongs to our entire school community; our Principal and every staff member richly deserve this recognition.
