1) Describe the confrontation between the narrator and pongo.
The confrontation between the narrator and Pongo was tense and comical. When Pongo, the policeman, caught the narrator with his pockets bulging, he calmly questioned him. The narrator was terrified and tried to deny having anything. A voice in the narrator's head urged him to "eat the evidence". In a panic, the narrator began to eat all seventeen oranges, including the peels and pips. Pongo watched, first with suspicion, then with amusement and disgust. After the narrator had consumed all the oranges and there was no evidence left, Pongo, with nothing to charge him for, let him go with a warning.
2) What are some measures that are used to prevent soil erosion?

Tom disliked the medicine and, in a moment of mischief, gave a dose to the cat, Peter. The pain-killer made the cat go wild, causing chaos in the house.
