Hamid was a thoughtful and selfless four-year-old boy who lived with his grandmother. Despite his young age, he showed great maturity and love by buying a pair of tongs for his granny instead of toys for himself.

18. Write about Hamid and his Granny?

Hamid, a four-year-old orphan, lived with his loving grandmother, Ameena. They were very poor but shared a deep bond. Granny Ameena worked hard to provide for him and was his whole world. On the day of Eid, she gave Hamid three paise for the fair. Instead of buying toys or sweets like other children, Hamid bought a pair of tongs for her because he remembered she always burnt her fingers while cooking. This selfless act showed his immense love and concern for his grandmother, proving that love and care are more valuable than material pleasures.

19. "Was it just the wind"? - What do you think Usha thought it was? Why?

Initially, Usha tried to convince herself that the strange noises she heard in the ruins were just the wind. However, as the storm intensified and she saw two small, ghostly figures in the lightning, she began to believe it might be the ghosts from her grandfather's story. She was scared because she was alone in a haunted place during a dark and stormy night, and the eerie sounds seemed too real to be just the wind.
