29. Describe the struggles underwent by the young seagull to overcome its fear of flying.

The young seagull was terrified of flying. He believed his wings would not support him and he would fall into the vast sea below. For twenty-four hours, he remained alone on his ledge while his family flew away. He felt hungry and miserable. His parents and siblings taunted him for his cowardice. To tempt him, his mother flew near him with a piece of fish but didn't come close enough. Maddened by hunger, the seagull dived for the fish, forgetting his fear. He fell downwards, screaming in terror. But then, a moment later, he felt his wings spread outwards. He flapped them and realised he was flying. He had overcome his fear through a desperate act driven by hunger, finally joining his family in the sky.

31. Write in detail about the selection and training process which the crew underwent.

The crew of INSV Tarini, consisting of six women naval officers, underwent a rigorous selection and training process. Out of thirty women who had applied, only six were chosen. The selection was based on their survival skills and endurance. The training was extensive, lasting almost three years. They first trained on smaller boats, like the INSV Mhadei, for about a year. They completed a 21,000-nautical-mile journey from Goa to Rio de Janeiro in 2017. They also received theoretical training in navigation, communication, and weather prediction. This comprehensive training prepared them for their historic global circumnavigation, ensuring they were skilled and resilient enough to handle the challenges of the open sea.
