What are Appeals?

Appeals are used to create social awareness. These are done to involve people in general social activities. It is done to make people aware of a social problem, to encourage them in trying to solve the problem and to motivate them to take active part in movements, missions or a rally etc.

Let us see how an appeal is made:

  1. Use catchy slogans.
  2. Be brief.
  3. Address the reader directly.
  4. Seek the reader’s participation.
  5. Appeal to the heart.

Difficult Words and Their Meanings

Appeals - Serious and urgent requests for help or support.

Social Awareness - Understanding the problems and issues within a community or society.

Involve - To include someone or make them a part of an activity.

Motivate - To give someone a reason or encouragement to do something.

Movements - Groups of people working together to achieve a shared social or political goal.

Missions - Important assignments or tasks with a specific purpose.

Rally - A large public meeting held to show support for a cause or idea.
