No Tobacco Day Celebrated

The Health Club of Kanpur Senior Secondary School celebrated 'No Tobacco Day' on on the school premises. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Kumar, the Health Minister of the state, and presided over by our Principal. A team of doctors from Safdarjung Hospital rendered their services for the cause.

Many cultural programmes were prepared by the school's Cultural Group, including a compelling play on the theme 'Tobacco Kills,' which was highly applauded by all. An essay-writing and poster-making competition also took place. After the prize distribution, the Chief Guest delivered a speech highlighting the health risks associated with tobacco consumption.

Using various models, the team of doctors explained the hazardous effects of tobacco use. The event concluded with the declaration of the school premises as a 'tobacco-free zone,' marking a significant success.
