Daughter cells produced by asexual reproduction are genetically identical to the parent cells.

1. In asexual reproduction only one parent is involved, in which the cells divide mitotically.
2. Hence, there is no fusion of two different cells. 
3. Therefore the daughter cells produced by asexual reproduction are genetically identical to the parent cells.
