The Inspector-General of Police,
Mumbai – 400 035.
Sir,
I learned that some young men are to be selected for training as Sub-Inspectors of Police at the Pune Police Training School.
I have passed the B.Com Degree Examination from "The University of Mumbai", and I have obtained more than 70% of marks in all the subjects. While a student I took part in all the games and was for two years captain of the Football Eleven of the School. I am a nephew of Mr. Ragavan, Sub-Inspector of Police, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu.
I am 23 years old and am 6 feet 1 inches high. I am a person of active habits and I possess three medals for being the first in running races.
I enclose herewith copies of testimonials.
I, therefore, request that you will be pleased to select me as a candidate for training.
Yours faithfully,
abc
